2010 is an interesting year for the Australian Graphic Design Association, as it will be the 20th year of awards and 10th biennial event.
The Letter D was privileged to be asked to design the identity and implementation program, which will be held in Brisbane as part of Icograda’s Design Week and the Queensland Government’s Design Triennial.
An ad announcing Caruana & Reid’s exhibition during Art Month Sydney has been developed for the Sydney Morning Herald’s Spectrum liftout.

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation approached The Letter D to conduct an overall audit of their stationery, document and presentation formats with the view to developing a set of guides for a consistent approach throughout.
With a wide variety of material being produced it became apparent that the existing identity block had limited flexibility and so a refresh was proposed to allow the identity to adapt to its surroundings, with various orientations.
Yes another green project, although for good reason – a St Patrick’s Day invite for the urologist Dr Peter Campbell, with a clover adapted from his identity’s kidney pattern.
With a series of special events planned for 2010, Jan Murphy Gallery asked The Letter D to develop a separate invitation format from the Gallery’s ongoing exhibition collateral.
A personal approach was taken, with matching paper and envelopes produced to allow various content to be printed and trimmed in-house.

Vetwell asked The Letter D to come up with a grooming promotion to be sent out with their client vaccination reminders in DL envelopes.
To imply the one-time only offers, a voucher concept was developed that could easily slip into the folded A4 vaccination reminder.

Constructed using the full range of ‘bricks’ available in FontStruct, Font Duplex is a typographic experiment in legibility – as we restricted each character to only two bricks.

The Letter D commissioned Vincent Long to photograph Hughes Pastoral’s end of year Campdraft, as the foundation for the suite of imagery that will appear across their website.
The Letter D will be taking a whole week off from December 24 to January 4. Crazy huh?
